4. Charges & Currency

  • When Payment is Taken: Payment is authorized and captured in full at the exact time you place your order (unless utilizing a Klarna installment plan). You will only be charged once. If your payment is declined, your order will not be created, and no funds will be taken.

  • Currency: All prices on our website are displayed and charged in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).

  • Note for International Cards: If you are using a card issued in a currency other than GBP, your bank or card provider may apply a foreign exchange fee. DM Pet Store has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, these bank-issued charges.

5. Order Confirmation & Receipts

Once your payment has been successfully processed, you will immediately receive an order confirmation email to the address provided at checkout. This email serves as your official digital receipt and proof of purchase.

  • Tip: If you do not see this email within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folder.

6. Payment Issues & Fraud Prevention

  • Declined Payments: If your payment is declined, please verify that your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address exactly match what your bank has on file, then try again. If the issue persists, please contact your bank or try an alternative payment method like PayPal.

  • Fraud Checks: To protect our customers and our business, our payment gateway conducts automated fraud analysis on all orders. In some cases, if a transaction is flagged as high-risk, we may need to cancel the order or contact you to verify your identity before dispatching your goods.

7. Refunds

If a refund is approved (in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy), the funds will automatically be returned to the original payment method used at checkout.

  • Refunds are typically processed by our system immediately, but please allow 5 to 10 business days for your bank, card provider, or digital wallet (such as PayPal or Klarna) to reflect the credited amount in your account.
